Keeps a function running so it answers instantly, with no cold start. It's worth it for functions on a live call path, like IVR menus or real-time voice agents. Most webhook handlers don't need it.

Replicates your data in real time, with a recovery point of about one second, for live session state and write-heavy workloads. For configuration data, routing tables, and call logs, Database Basic is enough – its recovery point is about 30 seconds.

Your first compute-hour each month is free, per project. After that, compute costs $0.10 per compute-hour, billed by the second. Storage is priced in the usage rates, and Always-On and Database Pro are optional add-ons. There’s no per-execution charge and no monthly platform fee.
Most proof-of-concept projects cost nothing. One function that runs for about 20 minutes a month stays inside the free hour. Three functions sharing 5 compute-hours and 500 MB of Database Basic storage come to about $0.42 a month. A larger setup, with 10 functions, 40 compute-hours, and four Always-On functions using 2 GB of Database Pro storage, runs about $32.19 a month. Your Sinch dashboard shows the actual cost of each project.
Per project. Every function in a project draws on the same free compute-hour each month, and the same goes for the 100 MB of free file storage and database storage. The allowance resets every billing cycle.
You’ll be asked to add a credit card to keep going. After that, you only pay for usage past your free amount, at the usage rates.
Because Functions has no execution time limit. A function might answer a webhook in 10 milliseconds or hold a WebSocket open for 20 minutes, and a flat fee per call can’t price both fairly. Paying for run time keeps short functions cheap.
In seconds. We round compute time down to the second, add it up across every function in the project, and bill it once a month.
Yes. Functions covers the compute your code uses. The calls and messages it handles are billed at their own rates: see Voice API pricing and SMS pricing.
