Intercity Telecom partners with Symsoft for consolidated online charging, USSD and IN service platform

Intercity Telecom has selected Symsoft as its partner for online charging and messaging services. The multi-million euro contract is for the design, implementation and long term support of a new IN and Online Charging System (OCS) together with a USSD gateway on a consolidated platform. The new solution will improve Intercity’s ability to tailor fixed-mobile services to meet the needs of its business customers. Consolidating all functionality on one platform secures that new services can be designed and managed in a cost-efficient manner. “Intercity is passionate about offering the best B2B telecom experience in the market and in order to do that we need flexibility to quickly deploy services that meet both current and future customer needs. This new platform from Symsoft gives us the power to create the truly converged Fixed-Mobile propositions that business customers are demanding,” says Eildert-Jan Boekholt, Group Systems Director at Intercity Telecom Ltd. ”With Symsoft’s consolidated OCS and USSD solution, Intercity will build on the progress we are making to drive innovation throughout our business and keep our customers at the forefront of technology,” continues Boekholt. ”We are delighted to have been awarded the contract to place the Symsoft OCS at the heart of Intercity’s international operations. Symsoft has over 20 years of experience of business critical charging solutions, and we are looking forward to applying this knowledge to help Intercity improve their services and grow their international business”, says Petter Näslund, VP Sales Europe & Asia, Symsoft. Roll-out of the new platform will begin in the Dutch market and service launch is planned for the end of 2013.
