“We’re using Sinch Engage to run our SMS promotions, and we’ve definitely seen an increase in conversions. I love how easy how easy it is to set up the workflow in HubSpot and have it branch off for each of our customer segments.”

Since 2008, Chuze Fitness has grown from a single gym in Carlsbad, California to more than 60 locations coast to coast. The high-value, low-price chain brings premium amenities — like saunas, red light therapy, hot yoga — to communities at an affordable price.

But Chuze operates differently from most gym chains. There are no salespeople on the floor. Nearly every touchpoint that turns a curious visitor into a paying member happens through digital marketing.

That’s the challenge Kat Miyahira, Chuze’s Email Marketing Specialist, faces every day. She needs to reach thousands of prospects and members across channels like email and SMS without losing the human connection and kindness that Chuze was built on.

But when Kat joined the team two years ago, Chuze was already running SMS through a different platform.

“I wasn’t getting the stats or reporting that I really needed,” Kat said. “I felt like the other platform was falling flat,” she said.

Finding the right fit at HubSpot Inbound

While actively looking for a better SMS service provider, Kat found Sinch Engage at HubSpot’s annual flagship conference, Inbound.

Kat relies on HubSpot’s CRM for nearly every part of her job, so it was crucial to find an SMS service that integrates seamlessly.

“I met the team at Sinch, saw their HubSpot integration, and thought it might fit our needs exactly,” she said. “It turned out to be perfect.”

Sinch Engage runs natively inside HubSpot, which means Kat works in one place for everything — campaigns, SMS sends, workflow automation, and reporting. No separate tools, no data syncing between systems, and no gaps in member records.

Pumping up conversions with better insights and responsive support

Kat uses Sinch Engage to run time-sensitive promotions timed to peak gym seasons, build pre-opening hype around new club launches, and stay in front of engaged prospects who haven’t yet converted.

“We’ve definitely seen an increase in conversions. I love how easy how easy it is to set up the workflow in HubSpot and have it branch off for each of our customer segments,” Kat said.

Chuze has seen conversions from SMS increase since the switch, and Kat now has the analytics to understand what’s working and why. And it’s clear to her that Sinch is consistently improving the platform and values her feedback.

“I feel like we’re being listened to, and our requests are actually being taken seriously and being brought back to the team,” Kat said.

The partnership trifecta: Sinch, HubSpot, and Solution One

Alongside Sinch Engage and HubSpot, the team works with Solution One Partners — a HubSpot solutions partner that builds and manages the automated workflows behind Chuze’s member journeys. Kat calls the three-way partnership “the perfect trifecta.”

Solution One brings fitness-industry expertise to the table, Sinch Engage powers the messaging, and HubSpot holds it all together.

“With their help, I’m actually able to plan ahead a little bit more,” she said. “They can do some of the heavy lifting, and that allows me more space to think about our members and the prospects throughout their entire journey.”

Testing RCS for interactive member experiences

Chuze is in the final stages of adding RCS for Business to their strategy through Sinch Engage.

With verified sender branding, interactive media, and click-level analytics, RCS will give Chuze new tools to understand what resonates and reach members with more confidence.

For a brand whose mission has always been connection and kindness, it’s one more way to keep that promise as they grow.
