Yandy, an e-commerce retailer known for its bold, trendy lingerie and costumes, has no problem getting attention. With new products and promotions selling out soon after launch, Yandy keeps VIP customers informed with SMS alerts.
After purchasing Yandy back from its former parent company in 2023, CEO Aras Koktas needed a new beginning searching for a lean, flexible SMS API to integrate with Yandy’s custom-built e-commerce stack.
“We didn’t need all the bells and whistles of a full-service SMS provider,” Aras said. “We needed an efficient and cost-effective SMS infrastructure provider.”
Aras and his team began evaluating the top players in the infrastructure space and came across Sinch’s SMS API solution. Ultimately, they partnered with Sinch for its:
Yandy integrated Sinch’s REST API into its custom e-commerce system within a week and began building their SMS subscriber list.
Now, they now send VIP offers, product drops, and time-sensitive promos through Sinch’s API. Sinch also helped them move from 10DLC to a short code for better deliverability and throughput.

“I think that shows the intent,” Aras said. “Some people just sign up for email to get coupons. But for SMS, they are really interested in hearing from us fast and first.”
Aras is excited to see how new AI technologies, like automated responses, could help improve their SMS marketing strategy.
He and his team are also exploring Rich Communication Services (RCS) to create an even more immersive brand experience with image carousels, quick replies, and in-message payment options.
