Sinch joins hands with Anandaya Foundation to build libraries in Delhi government schools

Sinch, which uses its Customer Communications Cloud to facilitate meaningful discussions between businesses and their consumers, has recently launched a fantastic effort named “Project Pustakalaya” in cooperation with the Anandaya Foundation. This initiative entails the establishment of 86 libraries in government schools around the Delhi NCR region. Sinch remains devoted to its long-term goal of supporting underprivileged children’s basic right to education through this project.

The purpose of Project Pustakalaya is to bridge the gap between a book and a child. The company opened 34 pustakalayas in the first phase and plans to open 52 more in the second. These pustakalayas are built with open racks that keep books leveled so students can quickly reach child-friendly, relevant, and contextual texts. Sinch hopes to develop a reading culture through Project Pustakalaya by connecting the power of words and encouraging literacy as a cornerstone of communication and knowledge.

Sinch’s Managing Director, Nitin Singhal, stated of the effort, “At Sinch, we strongly believe that education is the backbone of any society’s progress.” We are hopeful that these pustakalayas would help kids in classes 5 and above improve their reading skills and comprehension. We are grateful to the Anandaya Foundation for lending their knowledge, which has helped us make this wonderful cause a reality. We are convinced that this project will have a good impact on society and inspire kids to develop a reading culture in order to boost information acquisition and learning.”
